About Priscilla O’Kelly Wilkinson ~ Proprietor Sanctuary Design

meFrom a very early age I was always interested in interior design and decorating.  I was fortunate to have been raised around artists  and designers.  My grandfather, Frederick E. Kelley was a designer and builder of custom log cabins in New England and my family is filled with generations of builders and artists.

As a native of Portland, Maine I have had the wonderful opportunity to work in many areas of the east coast over the past 20 years; each bringing its own new and exciting challenges.  My interiors tend to be clean and elegant simplicity with a eclectic element of surprise.  I enjoy working with a variety of styles, from savvy chic modernism that merges streamlined pieces with ethnic textiles and materials to the iconic and classically rich lodge style embracing nature with organic sensibility.

One of my specialties is that I love color!  I adore the use of striking and interesting colors in my designs, whether it’s a simple monochromatic scheme reflecting the seaside landscape with the lovely tones of sand, pebbles, sea grasses and water… so elegant and understated, or a vibrant and bold upscale Euro palette with juicy mango, kiwi, balmy yellows and crisp blues… or a sensual and mysterious array of exotic jewel tones that invite you into the space.  I have many varied interests that I bring into my designs keeping each project truly special and highly personalized for my clients.

I have a fondness for lovely old things, antiques, interesting found objects, unusual textiles and glassware, but I also have a strong appreciation and love for contemporary design as well, and it’s courageous use of color, clean lines and pleasurable styling.  I lovingly bring all of these elements to the designs I create for my clients’ homes and businesses.

I look forward to working with you and helping your create a home
that you feel truly reflects your own personal style.

Be well,
Priscilla O’Kelly Wilkinson PDRA CWC
